Here is a rare pool video from the pre-90's era. Watch two legendary pool players in their prime as they match up in the Cleveland Open of 1988.
This 9-ball match pits Earl Strickland against Keith McCready. This one is a glimpse back in time to a period that doesn't have a lot of billiards video coverage, so, please, enjoy this rare footage.
I love this match, because you get to see two great players playing on slower equipment, which means, they are strokin' the ball to move it around the table. A contrast to a lot of the modern-day pool videos.
I hope you enjoy this classic as much as I did. I put all 7 parts of the pool match into a playlist, so you can enjoy the whole set.
Cheers,
Skippy
P.S. As a tribute to McCready's famous character (Grady Seasons) in The Color of Money, check out the great stuff related to one of the all-time great pool movies below the video box.
